Our Bylaws

At the BLINDED VETERANS ASSOCIATION AUXILIARY in Alexandria, VA, we are part of a large support network that is designed to offer assistance to blind veterans who lost their sight in the line of duty or due to an injury sustained overseas. We are members of a national organization that was chartered by Congress.

While we are always willing to help veterans in need, we do have strict rules and regulations that each chapter has to follow. We invite you to read our bylaws in their entirety.

Preamble & Purpose

We, the members of the National Blinded Veterans Association Auxiliary, in order to aid the BLINDED VETERANS ASSOCIATION AUXILIARY in whatever fashions we are able, to develop a deeper interest in that organization by family members and friends, to preserve and strengthen a spirit of fellowship among auxiliary members so that they may give mutual aid and assistance to one another, do adopt and establish these by-laws.

This organization is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
